gifts of love

Project Angel Heart is a program consisting of over 220 volunteers that prepare, cook, package, and deliver meals to people stricken with HIV or AIDS in Denver, Colorado.

The meals are prepared to meet the nutritional needs of the recipients. Each meal delivers 2000 of the 3000 calories needed daily for people battling HIV or AIDS.

Taking care of the nutritional requirements is only part of the story. Many of the patients are either too sick to leave their homes or too weak to prepare meals. Or once they prepare a meal they are too nauseated to eat it. The volunteers that deliver these meals, in a 176 square mile area, are a godsend to these patients.
